If one of the inadmissibilities applies, sometimes the immigrant can get an extreme hardship waiver if it’s eligible for that form of inadmissibility. This waiver require you to show that your family member in the U.S. would be subject to extreme hardship if you cannot stay with the them in the U.S. or they have to move with you to your home country. It is basically the U.S. government waiving your inadmissibility and allow you to have a green card.
