Q: So there’s no time limit on E Visas?
A: That’s essentially correct. However, one’s actual E visa – as well as the time period the visa holder is allowed to stay legally in the U.S. – will have an expiration date. Depending on what country he or she is from, an applicant will get a visa or a stay for “x-amount of years”, but those are generally renewable. In that sense, the H’s actually do have limits, the E’s do not.

The TN nonimmigrant classification allows qualified Canadian and Mexican citizens to enter the U.S. and engage in professional business activities.
